Day 7

Wow, one week into this! Hard to believe.

I worked all day today, so the key was being prepared! Usually when I work all day, I may pack a couple snacks or some leftovers if we have some, and then go to the cafeteria when I need to. The big problem with that is that the healthier foods are awful, and the only things that taste good are the bad things-pizza, potatoes, french fries, etc.

So for breakfast before leaving for work, I had my usual- 2 boiled eggs + 1 avocado + cilantro and salt.

I compromised with coffee today. Yesterday I took 1-1.5 frozen bananas and blended them up with a whole box of nutpods and put it in the fridge to use as coffee creamer. It is not "sweet" per se, but is taking the bitterness edge off the coffee a bit for me which is nice!

For a snack around 10am, I had a blueberry rx bar.

Lunch was my last jar salad for the week. Followed by baked apples (only ingredient is apples!) which actually didn't taste that good. Ha! I dipped them in almond butter.

I had another coffee at work with nutpods in the afternoon.

Dinner was leftover chicken soup.

I made it through work great. Yay!

Then I got home. Not yay. Usually when I get home from work at 8pm, I have a second dinner, and usually a dessert before bed.

It was HARD to not continue to eat (all I wanted was bad food!) and the craving for dessert was REAL.

I ended up being a little cranky, and had a hard boiled egg and then a microwaved sweet potato with ghee and cinnamon. It was actually fairly tasty and did an ok job taming the beast.

I didn't cheat at all today, but I also didn't do a very good job not snacking between meals and after meals. I wasn't too excited about the chicken soup, and it didn't fill me up as much as I'd hoped which didn't help.

Today has definitely been the hardest so far. And I'm not even to the "hardest" days they say which are 10-11. Ugh!
